Un aperçu de l'univers d'Andy Grellmann
In the last two years, when most of these photographs were made, I sought out environments and ideas amenable to my process of making a photograph - moments that project a sense of deliberation and quiet space - as well as ones sharing a measure of affective harmony. There is a natural beauty in the Pacific Northwest landscape, and an aesthetic that is accessible and easy to sync ones inner constitution with; one could argue that making picturesque photographs can come a bit easier here. More recently, I’ve been shying away from landscapes and applying the same theory to subject matter where beautiful or unique elements, such as our vast oceans and snow capped mountains, aren’t as easily found and digested.
